I have been working with Kubernetes as part of my day job for the last couple of years, first very reluctantly. It is an interesting combination of an overcomplicated boondoggle that companies like Google find elegant because it takes fewer entire departments to handle, and principled application of actual elegance.

Kelsey Hightower has always been a prominent figure in its community, but this is the first time I heard and understood his story. A very interesting listen, a very capable and measured mind, and we need more people who have taken this path and with his approach to problem solving.
